KELLY'S FOUNDATION
Kelly’s Foundation was started by Jordan Burk in honor of his uncle, Kelly Owen Burk. Jordan wanted to develop fun, colorful, and educational material for young children of all ages with an emphasis on those with Down syndrome. The sole purpose of Kelly’s Foundation is to promote the Kelly & Kelso book series and show. All funding from Kelly’s Foundation goes directly towards supporting the production and distribution of the Kelly & Kelso series. Kelly & Kelso teaches us that while we may all look different on the outside, we are all very much alike. We all have similar needs, desires, and feelings.
Kelly and his new friends show children that everyone is the same on the inside, and it’s our differences that make this wonderful world an interesting and special place. Kelly’s Foundation is a non-profit organization that depends upon the generosity of individuals, foundations, and corporations to support the creation of materials used to teach children about Down syndrome and others with special abilities.
Our goals:
* Increase representation of special abilities individuals in media through advocacy.
* Educate children on diversity and inclusion through quality literature.
* Expand awareness of the unique contributions of individuals with Down syndrome and other special abilities through social media and newsletters. To further enhance our efforts, we are also available to speak in schools, organizations, and events that also foster and promote these goals.
We are grateful for your support in helping to ensure the growth and expansion of Kelly’s Foundation!
